ConEd Manhattan Power Restored - Business Insider

UPDATE: ConEd, New York City's electricity provider, expects power to be restored to all of Manhattan by Saturday, reports Bloomberg and The New York Times.

Areas of lower Manhattan, including Wall Street, are expected to have power by this evening.

Earlier this morning, Bloomberg reported that a ConEd spokesperson said power would return to all of Manhattan by the end of Friday.? This headline has since been changed.

EARLIER (6:07 AM EST): A ConEd spokesperson just told Bloomberg's Michael Mckee that all of Manhattan will get power today.

Here's Bloomberg's headline:

"POWER TO BE RESTORED TO ALL MANHATTAN BY END OF TODAY: CONED"

Yesterday, ConEd said to expect power by Friday or Saturday.

Their outlook seems to be brightening.
