compLexity Gaming house Closes - D-eSports.com

compLexity?s Gaming founder Jason Lake was recently interviewed by ESFI and told them that the gaming house in Houston had closed down last week. One of the main reasons for its closure was because the media content that they had wanted to produced out of the house were no longer possible due the person responsible for that side of things having to attend to other matters.

?One of our top goals for the house was to turn it into a landing pad for top teams from around the world,? Lake said. ?Rather than fly back to Korea when you have another event in ten days, you could just come [to the house] and make it a training facility.?

?The experiment wasn?t bad by any means. We got a lot of player growth and development. But at the end of the day, when we looked at a new year?renewing the lease..we just said we could spend our money elsewhere more wisely. If we could get a few top tier players, that would make more sense.?

The house, which was launched on July 16th 2012, housed 6 people over the course of its time including qxc, TriMaster, goswer, Sasquatch, TriMaster, GanZi and the player manager Scott Ford. GanZi however only had a brief stint in the house before leaving the team after failing to agree to new contract terms. Jason Lake mentions in the interview that they are re-evaluating their Starcraft 2 plans and investments- Watch the full interview below:
