Two-thirds of Americans unwilling to spend over $50 a month on mobile data, says Parks Associates

In a recent report titled Mobile Data and Applications, research outfit Parks Associates found that a large chunk of Stateside consumers aren't willing to pay more than $50 per month for a mobile data plan. What's also interesting here -- but not surprising -- is the study shows nearly 50 percent of smartphone users are completely oblivious to the amount of data they're consuming every month. Parks Associates says this highlights the "risk" networks like AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile are taking by making the transition from all-you-can-have to those tiered data plans we're so fond of. The firm's Mobile Research Director, Harry Wang, sees this as a necessity for carriers, though, expressing that "moving mobile users to usage-based plans will be difficult and painful, but changes are necessary for operators to maintain revenues." Thai censors say out, damned spot, out to Macbeth film adaptation

The maker of 'Shakespeare Must Die' is appealing the decision, but Thai bureaucrats are nervous about the movie's political overtones.

The banning of a Thai cinema adaptation of William Shakespeare's 'Macbeth' is causing a stir in Thailand. The censors ruled that the movie ?has content that causes divisiveness among the people of the nation."

In a country where the royal family is protected from criticism by possibly the world's strictest lese-majeste laws (designed to prevent public criticism or ridicule of royals), any drama featuring regicide might be deemed taboo. But?Shakespeare Must Die?seems also to have touched a raw nerve with its depiction of Shakespeare's ambitious but guilt-ridden usurper blended in with scenes of protest and violence redolent of Thailand's recent past.

The country has been beset by on again, off again street protests since 2005. To some, the Macbeth character in the movie is reminiscent of former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, whose apparent vaulting ambition prompted royalist suspicions that he had a real-life anti-monarchy agenda.

Thailand's Culture Ministry told director Samanrat Kanjanavanit that she could only proceed with a bowdlerized version of the government-funded movie, but the filmmakers held their ground.

A red-clad Grim Reaper in the movie was deemed too evocative of the red-shirt demonstrators who took to Bangkok's streets in 2010, in protests that turned violent with more than 90 killed. Another scene inspired by a gruesome massacre of student demonstrators in 1976 was also deemed unacceptable.

Director Samanrat, better known as Ing K., says the censorship makes little sense. "Why do they (the censors) find a 400-year-dead poet so threatening?,? she told the Monitor.? The original Macbeth was penned during a fractious period in English history, probably shortly after the 1605 "Gunpowder Plot," when Catholics aggrieved at religious discrimination sought to assassinate England's King James I, a Scot.

Now, four centuries later, Thailand's volatile politics could hold the key to the censors' anxiety over a now-archetypal tale about how power corrupts man. Mr. Thaksin was ousted from office in a 2006 coup backed by royalist street protestors and faces jail on corruption charges. But his sister Yingluck is the country's prime minister, after her Peua Thai party routed the royalist-leaning Democrats in a 2011 election.

Thailand's 84-year-old King Bhumibol Adulyadej is the world's longest-sitting monarch and remains popular, drawing vast crowds onto Bangkok's streets last December for his birthday celebrations. But the combination of color-coded antagonism ("red-shirts" for pro-Thaksin demonstrators, "yellow-shirts" for royalists)? and the King's age makes for nervy bureaucrats, and the censors' actions on the movie come after several recent high-profile jailings for lese-majeste.

While Ms. Yingluck's government has sparked renewed royalist ire by hinting that Thaksin could return to Thailand without having to do jail time, her administration simultaneously pledged not to amend Thailand's lese-majeste laws and to tighten censorship of websites containing allegedly offensive content.

Now it seems even The Bard of Avon is caught up in Thailand's censorship dragnet. Southeast Asia-based documentary filmmaker Bradley Cox saw his?Who Killed Chea Vichea? ? about a Cambodian trade unionist who was murdered in 2004 ? banned in Cambodia. Discussing?Shakespeare Must Die, Mr. Cox told the Monitor that ?it makes one think that the censors must not think that highly of the Thai people, if they feel that they cannot handle the imagery and messages contained in this movie.?

For Ing K., the censors' reaction to the movie says a lot about Thailand, where the government and the opposition are at odds over a reconciliation proposal that, to some, could mean impunity for those involved in recent political violence. ?We don't want to look at ourselves," she lamented, ?we want to forget about painful events in our history."

As historic flights go, this has to be right up there with the best of 'em. Space Shuttle Discovery performed a final fly-by over the capital, and created a trail of excited spotters as it did so. Perched atop a Boeing 747, the iconic craft was flying at a relatively low 1,500 feet according to NASA. Pictures of the voyage have been popping up on social media and image sharing sites as it headed in from the west, before coming to its final resting place at a special off-shoot of the Smithsonian Institute's National Air and Space Museum near Dulles Airport. Jennifer Aniston Calls Boyfriend Justin Theroux Her 'Protector'

Looks like Jennifer Aniston is lucky in love again. Since her highly publicized 2005 divorce from one of Hollywood's biggest stars, Brad Pitt, the celebrity gossip magazines have speculated about Aniston's love life troubles.

But after filming the flick "Wanderlust" with co-star Justin Theroux, Aniston and the actor struck up a romance. In the May issue of Australia's Marie Claire, the 43-year-old actress gushes to the magazine about why her boyfriend of nearly a year is a keeper.

"He's a protector, for sure," Aniston, who graces the cover, says. "He's just a good human being, and so funny."

The couple filmed "Wanderlust" last fall in Georgia, and the story line centers around a stressed-out couple who travel to a hippie-ish community and learn the meaning of "free love." And that laid-back, secluded atmosphere may have helped Theroux and Aniston's relationship to develop.

"All of a sudden, I began decompressing. It's weird, but it felt like living a normal life; almost like having your anonymity back," Aniston says about the shooting location.

"Nobody bothered us and we were protected as a group. There were no paparazzi and no secret, tricky little cell phone pictures being taken," she continues. "I realized how paranoid and guarded and not trusting — walled-in — I had become. Not consciously so, but just this armor that I kind of have, protective armor. It's not for my friends or family, but for being outside in the world, always on guard."

Aniston had to let her guard down for "Wanderlust," however, especially when filming her much-talked-about topless scene.

"There are always nerves when you shoot a scene like that. But the adrenaline takes you through it and then you have the girls come in and cover you up immediately," Aniston admitted. "I got very comfortable with seeing nude people, pretty much immediately. It was bizarre to know that these were actually nudists — because there's a nudist colony in Clarkesville — and how comfortable they are being nude."

A roller-coaster week for "The Hunger Games" just got even bumpier: Director Gary Ross has officially announced he won't direct the sequel, "Catching Fire."

The week began positively enough, with "The Hunger Games" topping the box office for the third weekend in a row, earning nearly $303 million since its debut. But that news was quickly followed Monday with a surprising Playlist story claiming Ross wouldn't return for the movie adaptation of "Catching Fire," a report that has now been confirmed via statements from Ross himself and "Games" studio Lionsgate.

"Despite recent speculation in the media, and after difficult but sincere consideration, I have decided not to direct 'Catching Fire,' " Ross said in his statement. "As a writer and a director, I simply don't have the time I need to write and prep the movie I would have wanted to make because of the fixed and tight production schedule.

"I loved making 'The Hunger Games' — it was the happiest experience of my professional life," the statement continued. "Lionsgate was supportive of me in a manner that few directors ever experience in a franchise: they empowered me to make the film I wanted to make and backed the movie in a way that requires no explanation beyond the remarkable results. And contrary to what has been reported, negotiations with Lionsgate have not been problematic. They have also been very understanding of me through this difficult decision."

Lionsgate echoed Ross' disappointment in the ended "Games" partnership: "We're very sorry that Gary Ross has chosen not to direct Catching Fire. We were really looking forward to making the movie with him. He did an incredible job on the first film and we are grateful for his work. This will not be the end of our relationship, as we consider Ross to be part of the Lionsgate family and look forward to working with him in the future."

Ross' heartfelt sentiments did not end with his thanks to the studio.

"I also cannot say enough about the people I worked with: Producer Nina Jacobson, a great collaborator and a true friend; the brilliant Suzanne Collins, who entrusted us with her most amazing and important story; the gifted and remarkable Jennifer Lawrence whose performance exceeded my wildest expectations, and the rest of the incredible cast, whom I am proud to call my friends," he added in his statement. "To the fans I want to say thank you for your support your faith, your enthusiasm and your trust. Hard as this may be to understand I am trying to keep that trust with you. Thank you all. It's been a wonderful experience."

There will likely be a long list of directors gunning to fill Ross' shoes, but until we receive word of an official list of names, we have a very well-thought-out list of our own we hope Lionsgate considers.

23 found guilty of murdering Muslims in India's Gujarat state

Sporadic rioting continued in the state for at least three months in what was considered one of India's worst outbreaks of sectarian violence in recent years and one which activists referred to as 'ethnic cleansing' and an 'anti-Muslim pogrom'.

Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi from the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party that is also the main Opposition to the federal government, was held responsible for failing to stop the violence.

Many activists, backed by media reports and human rights groups accused Modi of actively encouraging the rioting as a consequence of which he was denied entry to the US.

The Ode massacre was one of 10 key incidents being probed by a Supreme Court-appointed special investigation team set up in 2008 after Modi was blamed for interfering with riot cases registered in Gujarat by obstructing investigations.

In November 2011, a court sentenced 31 people for burning, much like in Ode 33 Muslims to death in another village in the state.

Last February, 31 people, many of them Muslims were found guilty of setting fire to the Hindu pilgrim train at Godhra whilst 63 others were ac quitted.

Anxiety is a normal reaction to situations that cause unrest and disquiet. Most life experiences evoke differing amounts of anxiety. However, what if anxiety becomes for you a chronic and even uncontrollable experience? And worse, what if you suddenly experience feeling terribly anxious for no reason at all?

If this is so, then you are probably experiencing a panic attack ? a chronic, pathological experience of unwarranted anxiety. In the USA alone, close to three million people suffer from this kind of illness. Anxiety attacks could happen in any place, at any time and any situation ? making it a very unpredictable and worrying illness.

Anxiety attacks differ from other disorders by the simple fact that they happen almost instantaneously and without provocation. It can occur even in the most inauspicious of places. Be it a trivial gathering or an important performance.

Most that suffer from this sort of disorder are often amazed and bewildered at how unpredictable an attack may be. The severity of such can range from mild discomfort to a nervous condition that effectively disables a person.

Panic attacks are so unpredictable; they can even bother one in their sleep. This can cause a major inconvenience and can seriously affect one's lifestyle. Those that do not understand the illness might make fun of or think that the person suffering from such an illness are overreacting or are doing things of their own accord to make things worse.

They do not understand that this condition is truly an illness that should be remedied and given attention as soon as possible. This is because this condition steadily increases in duration and intensity. Those that experience anxiety attacks for the first time typically suffer through the condition for ten minutes at a time.

As the condition progresses, this number steadily increases, and along with this increase in duration can come an increase in intensity.

Unfortunately, this type of disorder gets worse without treatment. Whenever one experiences a panic attack during any activity, the person's tendency is to associate that activity with the fear. This could cause trauma for many different activities, ultimately causing one to avoid performing these activities.

Symptoms
1. Sudden Fear ? As mentioned earlier, those that suffer from anxiety attacks encounter them suddenly, unexpectedly and without provocation. They also experience nausea and stomach maladies at the same time.

2. Sudden Change of Demeanor ? During a panic attack one may become either suddenly inactive ? effectively paralyzed by fear or on the far end of the spectrum, suddenly hysteric. The patient may or may not have control of the faculties during such an episode.

3. Chest Pain and Dizziness ? Chest pains and dizziness often accompany such attacks. These symptoms are usually company to nervous-related disorders. Some patients have also described being in a dream-like state; feeling chills, terror, sudden thanatophobia (fear of dying), palpitation, and other symptoms.

The causes of panic attack syndromes are quite hazy; it could be a deeply-rooted emotional problem, a trauma, or a nervous physiological condition. Some people are even genetically predisposed to such illnesses, having a marked imbalance of chemicals in the brain.

Most patients admitted with panic/anxiety disorders are treated with a mix of medication and psychiatric therapy. This mix addresses both the physical and mental faculties affected by the illness. The prognosis for such illnesses is good as long as it is treated early and consistently.

Dear Me:

Did you know that your middle name means Victory of the People and Overcomer in Victory???You?ll always feel a sense of alone because you?re not meant to be in the crowd. You need your breathing and thinking room to change the world.

Your stubbornness and your relentlessness are assets to be admired and not handcuffed. Despite the adversaries that will come against you, and attack your very being, know that I have branded you with me.

My Kingdom is on the inside of you, and you want to see it manifest. While others may be reluctant you?ll always be ambitious and unafraid because it is who you are.? ? God

Love

You were born at the perfect time, in the right season. Your need and desire for love make you no less woman or child. You are not weak or unbalanced because of your needs. Having been born into a family that can not love you is a thorn in your side you must bear now, than at thirty.

Res, your mother loves you but she does not know how. You will have to teach her. Your siblings do not love you, and although this will always hurt they may never love you. Love is an action word.

Rather than to continue to operate in anger, take your thoughts and write them all down. One day, you will be the writer that you fall asleep dreaming of. Writing isn?t an aspiration for you, it is just something you?ll never be able to do without.

The One

There is a the one, and if you keep this in your heart, he?ll find you. I promise.?You won?t believe the mistakes you?ll make. Instead of thinking that you?ll never have time to do it all, and rushing through life as if you won?t make it to your next birthday please know that God has a plan for your life that will not derail.

If you keep enjoying the expression of love making as you do, you?ll forget that you can get pregnant and you will. If you could focus on basketball, your studies and write you?ll still make time for him. You love him now, but I promise you?ll love someone else in a few years.

?The One? for you will find you when you have learned a lot and been stripped of everything. He?ll be the new perspective, something you?ve always asked for and never seen. He?s beautiful by the way.

Who you are

You are made just like you. God uniquely made you to be in the spirit of Harriet Tubman and it?s not authentic to change who you are.

You?ll be exactly what you have always seen of yourself as a business owner, writer, wife and mother. You?ll be a philanthropist. Your husband will love you deeply and you?ll spend your lives in intimacy.

The difficult part for you will be navigating through what you know. While others are seeking to find themselves, you?re seeking to find out how to reach the vision you saw at seven, and that makes you different.

To some you may be hard to relate to. Your convictions are strong, and you don?t bite your tongue when others lie in fear. You will have friendships for seasons but only very few for lifetime.

Your relationships serve you, as you serve others. The friends that God has appointed you, like your husband will be the ones that love you, teach you, toughen and soften you all at once. But many will come and not have the heart to stay.

Forgiveness is for you. You may choose your relationships carefully but walking in unforgiveness is not an option.

Men

Many women look at men on television and say, ?I want my husband to come just like that.??However, men change and grow, and evolve just as we do. Men don?t come altogether despite what you will think.

And you will spend years assuming that your man is ?the man? outwardly when you meet him. Don?t spend so much time praying for all the things that you think are a good idea for your man to possess. Keep it simple and tell God what is deeply rooted in your heart for your man to possess. When you do this, he will come!

Spades

And lastly, I love you. You will never have a problem loving yourself but you will have a problem with understanding why others don?t. They are not all meant to love you. Keep in mind that we are all called to divine connections. It is okay, God will be your love and HE will send you love that is unconditional. You will find freedom and healing and friendship.

You were molested at four years old, and a scar was left in your vagina until age nine. The school passed around these records and each teacher determined how they felt about you based on paperwork before you ever met.

The gossip and paperwork between teachers never gave you a chance. You have a right to be angry, to feel violated every day of your life. When you turn eighteen, just as the amazing star that you are, you?ll realize that you couldn?t control life as a child but you have a responsibility to yourself to overcome the trauma of abuse both emotionally and sexually.

Do it now! As hard and confusing and painful as rising above the argument or right or wrong may be, healing now will leave you with more life to create positive memories.

It is not your fault! None of it. Not the sexual abuse, assault, being unloved or told by your brother that you can?t have new shoes because you are too bad. And whenever you are done crying their will be harvest, just like rain.

Ressurrection means to stand up, to stand out to be set apart! You have a heaven of a name, and one day, one day after climbing out of what feels like pitiful falls, you will see yourself and around you their will be glory!

Oh, and stop molly-wopping people. Jail for juveniles is not the same as jail for adults. No matter how many times you prove yourself, someone else will ask for the same whooping they just witnessed.?When you learn to change your expectations or perceptions of how others should treat you, or feel about you, you will be able to handle your anger. You barely get angry now!

You?ll become a beautiful woman, confident and assertive as you are now. You?ll be deeply romantic and you?ll always love God. You?ll possess greater understanding of the word but you?ll abandon the religious opinions of church people. You?ll stray from God?s voice and feel cluttered by the wannabe theologians of the church, but you?ll return to your first love; God.?Remember that voice is the sweetest most fragrant, present and clear voice you have ever known.

I didn?t realize how amazing you were then, until I tried to write down things I?d want you to learn, or do differently.

This letter is for you, to tell you, my younger self things that may have changed my life. In truth, I feel that you were dealt a horrible hand in Spades and you have worked it like only you have known how. I?m so proud of you, and I don?t want you to change you.

I would love to tell you that if you had a better family you would have been in business by fifteen and a millionaire before college- no high school pregnancy, and no deviation from your gifts in business, writing or basketball.

To change others around you would be not accepting what you can not change. Be reassured that you are love; create it, enjoy it, teach it and always be the manifested presence of it. God is your source, not man and with this knowledge you?ll always possess abundance.
